The key to the growth of #CommunityBroadcastingAfrica is through the adoption of internet-based platforms; BMA’s recently commissioned survey on “How community broadcasters are organising in the digital spaces and ecosystem” in Africa has revealed.
The data received from the survey has revealed the community broadcasters’ scope of preparedness, as well as the actual adoption of digital applications by community broadcasters in Africa.
According to the responses, 87.50% of community broadcasters surveyed believe that internet-based campaigns and initiatives are critical, especially in relation to the use of social media platforms. Additionally, if given the opportunity, 81.82% of the surveyed broadcasters noted that they would welcome partnerships with online streaming platforms should the opportunity arise.
The survey has accumulated information that highlights the need for digital growth within the African continent. To access the briefing report with more information and details, please click here!
