DStv on Monday announced the names of the cast of the NBCUniversal Formats franchise – The Real Housewives of Cape Town (RHOCT).
The latest addition is the 17th international version of the franchise and the 4th African adaptation. The franchise is distributed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, which is a part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Funs of The Real Housewives can look forward to yet another series of luxury and drama when the Real Housewives of Cape Town (RHOCT) premieres on DStv’s Mzansi Magic on Sunday, 10 July 2022.
Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net, said, “We are looking forward to premiering this exciting new addition on DStv, which will definitely keep our audience hooked and will be of premium quality our viewers have grown accustomed to,”
Produced by Trace Studios, the cast of The Real Housewives of Cape Town is a group of influential and affluent women who are loved, mysterious and often misunderstood.
The Housewives come from different social backgrounds and represent an eccentric mix of new and old money, connected by one common theme: their desire to run the Mother City.
The cast of the new ensemble includes Beverley Steyn, an entrepreneur and businesswoman, and Rushda Moosajee, fondly known as “RushTush”, who runs a fitness empire and has an impressive social media presence.
Other casts member include Loveline Abinokhauno, fondly known as Mrs Leo, owner of a concierge and events company called La Prive Concierge & Events, and Kutazwa’ Rooksy’ Gqirana, owner of Style Boutique SA.
Thato Montse also joins the cast; she is an entrepreneur, strategist, designer and wine connoisseur, and also Camilla McDowell, a humanitarian, creative, vintage car collector, entrepreneur and public speaker.
And lastly, Lulwando ‘Lue’ Tukwayo, a qualified chartered accountant who owns a non-profit organisation that addresses issues of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
