In Senegal, the StarTimes group recently launched its main agency in Cité Gorgui; as part of its international development plans to offer audiovisual services to Senegalese.
Established more than 34 years ago, with parent company located in Beijing, StarTimes, has several achievements to its credit, particularly on the African continent, which is its preferred market.
According to Houssainatou Diallo, public relations manager, the main agency is part of the dynamics of a sustainable establishment.
“Established in Senegal in 2018 and in 30 African countries, this project “Access to satellite TV for 10,000 African villages” is intended for 600 villages in each African country. The first phase made it possible to carry out the census in 300 villages. The second phase will be executed soon,” Diallo said.
Diallo also revealed that the State and the Ministry of Communication will be responsible for identifying the villages before the final phase by their teams.
“Regarding the 10,000 villages project, all equipment is free with three months free for the villagers and a Nova package project payable at only US$2,34,” Diallo added.
Startimes offers three bouquets: the smart bouquet at US$7,03, the super bouquet at US$14,06 and the All Startimes bouquet at US$18,74. In addition, StarTimes provides more than 150 channels in Senegal.
Diallo also mentioned that the StarTimes remains open to developing partnerships in the country in order to integrate as many media agencies as possible into their offering.
