The forthcoming 3rd International Conference On “OTT Streaming Platforms And Content Management – Africa“, taking place on Tuesday, 21st and Wednesday, 22nd February 2023, in Cape Town, South Africa (at the Southern Sun The Cullinan Hotel), will, according to organisers, be evaluating key strategies to “Leverage monetisation opportunities within Africa’s OTT streaming and content Landscape”.
Hosted by Broadcast Media Africa with sponsors and support from the leading industry organisations such as MwareTV, Discover Digital, Southern Africa Broadcasters Association (SABA) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON), the OTT Streaming and Content Management Summit will also be examining how mainstream broadcasters, telcos, content owners and infrastructure providers can work closely together to take broadcast content more into the mobile-first and FAST ecosystem.
Commenting, Mr Benjamin Pius, the conference convener and Publisher of Broadcast Media Africa, said: Africa is rich with storytelling, and great strides have been achieved to ensure that African stories are globally recognised; however, storytellers still fail to monetise their content effectively. Thus it is essential to have these discussions with industry leaders and to consider the strategic question on the best way to generate revenues from OTT platforms and content services whilst providing an optimal customer experience.”
