As of 1 June 2022, Tumi Chamayou will take the position of Group Executive: Enterprise Business Unit (GEBU) for MTN Group.
In 2018 Chamayou joined the GEBU team as General Manager for Large Enterprise Sales and has been Acting Executive for the role since July 2020, until now.
Before joining the group, Chamayou held various senior leadership roles at Ericsson, Egon Zehnder, Accenture as well as Decipher.
“Chamayou has added tremendous value to the group’s success during this time. She has overseen client segment teams and the overall strategy and operational alignment with EBU teams,” read a statement released by the group.
Group Chief Operating Executive, Jens Schulte-Bockum, said, “Chamayou has the experience and track record to assist in supporting the leadership of MTN Group.”
“Critical to the realisation of our strategy is an integrated, synergistic, and collaborative leadership team whose core values and mindset are aligned with the entity’s strategy. We look forward to working with Chamayou in her new role,” Jens added.
“Chamayo is a knowledgeable professional with extensive experience in technology, management consulting as well as telecommunication,” the group added.
Chamayo has obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa and an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand.
