Kenya’s Mombasa road-based TV station KTN has poached two top Kenyan journalists from British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) to join their news desk.
On a mission to revamp their newsroom, KTN introduced Purity Museo and Fathiya Nur as the newest addition to their team of news anchors. Purity Museo used to work at KBC, made her debut on KTN on Monday, as well as Fathiya Nur, who used to work for BBC.
The award-winning journalist announced her arrival at KTN with a message that said, “My new home. See you again tomorrow at 10 am for #NewsCentre and 1 pm for NewsDesk,”.
On May 17, 2022, Purity Museo parted ways with KBC after three and a half years at the station. She co-aired the prime-time news bulletin with the legendary Tom Mboya.
“So grateful for this opportunity. Thank you, KBC. “It’s been a great honour working for the national broadcaster, KCB Channel for the past three and half years. It’s another season for me. Thank you for all the support. Thank you to the viewer, thank you, KBC,” Purity wrote.
