Multichoice Kenya has announced a series of new kids’ shows set to be released each month during 2021.
During the Multichoice Content Showcase in Kenya, the Managing Director, Nancy Matimu, announced a line-up of its new and upcoming content for 2021. The Managing Director said that Multichoice values the kids’ segment as kids shows form part of the most loyal customers for the platform. Matimu further highlighted that the pay-tv provider has over 15 kids’ channels, and they would like to ensure that the market is satisfied by introducing a new and exciting line-up.
In May, Multichoice will be targeting children aged six with the release of Ghost Force on the Disney Channel. The show is about a superhero team that works together in protecting their city. On the Nickelodeon channel, the platform will release Golden Oldies, a show that follows Goldie, who, with her family, moves in with their Grandpa Maury and his three ages over 70 roommates.
For June, the entertainment company will bring the classic Warner Bros shows such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and all Looney Tunes Cartoons on Boomerang. In July, Nick Junior will introduce the Emmy-winning music-centric Beat Bugs, which feature various Beatles songs. August premieres Unfiltered on Nicktoons, a new game show that revolves around celebrities hiding behind 3D animated characters. The panel, through asking various questions, has to guess who the mystery celebrity is.
According to Matimu, Multichoice provides various educational and informative content for 24hours to keep the kids entertained.
