As part of our ongoing Industry Programme, in the pursuit to support the voices of the creative and draw on the passion for Community Radio Broadcasting, Broadcast Media Africa (BMA), in collaboration with 2Gwana Media, will be hosting a virtual industry forum targeted at the Community Radio sector in Africa.
The Forum on how to- Implement Effective Regulatory Support For Community Radio Broadcasting – will be hosted virtually on Thursday 29th of April 2021 from 11h00 (GMT).
According to Mr Benjamin Pius, BMA’s Publisher and convener of the Industry Forum, the industry meeting will offer industry stakeholders an opportunity to gain knowledge and expert insight on regulatory obligations and licensing conditions for setting up and running community radio stations. We also hope to help the industry understand the impact of community broadcasting on rural development and social cohesion and challenges faced by community broadcasters relating to governance.
The panel and presenters will be senior position holders from various organisations within the media and broadcasting industry. Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) and 2Gwana Media are inviting interested participants to save-the-date for attending this exclusive online Forum.
