Starting from April 4, DStv’s crime drama series, which plays on Mzansi Magic, is returning for a third season. Thando Thabethe plays her leading role as Linda, supported by Paballo Koza as her brother, Mtho.
Produced by Ochre Moving Pictures, the storyline follows Linda as an agent who solves criminal cases whilst undercover as a housekeeper.
In the third coming season, which has thirteen episodes, Linda’s new big crime to uncover is challenged when she is faced with her biggest fight and desperate attempt to save her brother’s life.
Having made a promise to her mother, June, to keep Mtho safe, Linda is alerted to a shocking crime that Mtho is accused of while attending university. She has to prove his innocence while keeping her true identity under wraps from her dangerous new employers.
The Housekeepers’ season 3 cast includes Zandi Nhlapho, Noxolo Dlamini, Fezile Makhanya, Andile Mxakaza, Gabriel Simphiwe Mini and Ernest Ndlovu. The supporting cast includes Kenneth Nkosi, Chichi Letswalo, and Connie Chiume.
The M-Net Director of Local Entertainment Channels, Shirley Adonis, says “Housekeepers has been one series that has gripped our audiences since its premiere. M-Net is happy to be returning and giving viewers shows they love.”
“Housekeepers is more than a crime series. It has its very South African twist for a classic detective show and is relevant with features of social commentary and a lot of heart whilst keeping the entertainment at high levels. The series is as intelligent and multifaceted as our audience,” added Adonis.
