Netflix has announced that a Kenyan romantic comedy film ‘Disconnect’ is making a comeback with a second season. The streamer mentioned that David ‘Tosh’ Gitonga would direct the movie with actress Catherine Kamau, alias Kate Actress and Pascal Tokodi as lead actors.
‘Disconnect’ is about a group of single people who stumble through the wild dating scene of Nairobi. The film is set to premiere officially on Netflix in December 2022. An excited Catherine Kamau said she is happy to play a lead role in the movie alongside Pascal Tokodi, something she has always wished for.
The film also stars Brenda Wairimu, Patricia Kihoro and Brian Ogola. Also sharing his delight, Pascal Tokodi said, “We had so much fun making this one. I hope we did justice to the film.”
The romantic comedy film first premiered in 2018, starring Brenda Wairimu, Patricia Kihoro, Nick Mutuma, Pascal Tokodi, Pierra Makena, Catherine Kamau and Brian Ogola.
In October 2020, the film became the third Kenyan title to make it to Netflix – an international streaming platform.
