The Commercial Director of Capital FM (Kenya), Ms Farida Idris, was recently interviewed by Broadcast Media Africa as a member of our Board of Advisors for the Industry Programme on #ContentForAfrica.
During the conversation, Ms Idris mentioned that revenue-generating models need to be developed to provide value and support for content creators in Africa.
Ms Farida Idris is a highly creative solution-based thinker, proficient in multi-media. Her experiences and knowledge in traditional and digital media sales have helped her create long-term customer relationships and grow numerous client and partnership operations through strategic advertising solutions.

BMA: What factors helped you decide to agree to join the #ContentForAfrica Advisory Board?
Farida Idris: The mission to be the vanguard of the transformative power of the broadcasting and electronic media in Africa
BMA: What innovations and/or new development would you like to see happen within the content ecosystem in Africa?
Farida Idris: In the short term, increased earnings for content creators on platforms such as TikTok. Second collaborations across Africa with different content creators.
In the long-term total integration with fin-tech systems, so that content creators are able to receive their money at affordable costs and access other financial services.
BMA: What would you hope for the Industry Programme to achieve?
Farida Idris: A vibrant media space in Africa with viewership across the world.
