#ContentForAfrica is the Broadcast Media Africa (BMA)’s industry programme on “Creation, Production and Distribution of Content”. It is designed to provide the tools and support systems to assist the content creators, producers, distributors, and broadcasters/publishers in taking advantage of new ideas and opportunities spawned by the digital ecosystem.
One of the most critical aspects of the programme will be to provide insight into what industry professionals regard as current ‘pain spots’ and ‘challenges’ and how to address and resolve them.
According to Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO and Publisher of BMA, who is also the programme’s director: “given the high cost of creating, producing, distributing, and acquiring television, radio, and other broadcast-ready audio-visual content, it is critical for broadcast media and content professionals and practitioners to work with the changing dynamics and drivers for generating, distributing, and delivering high-quality content to consumers across all platforms.”
Mr Pius noted that “the industry programme will focus on increasing industry skill capacity through various activities that allow stakeholders to assess and refresh their skill capabilities regarding content creation, production and monetisation.”
