
Recent industry research has shown that advertising revenue within Southern Africa’s broadcasting and media industry have increased in value over the last few years. And according to industry experts, this growth reflects a massive transformation in the media and broadcasting industry.
The transformation, characterised by increased content distribution and OTT internet streaming services choices, has been a driving force in unlocking the potential and gains of digital television services in Southern Africa.
It is in light of this that Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) has announced the convening of the “Broadcast Media Convention Of Southern Africa 2021” in collaboration with the Southern Africa Broadcasting Association (SABA).
The industry summit will take place from Tuesday, November 2 to Thursday, November 4 in Cape Town, South Africa [and online].
According to Broadcast Media Africa’s Publisher and CEO, Benjamin Pius, it’s time for industry players to re-evaluate their systems and operations actively.
The event co-convener, Mr Cecil Nguvauva, the secretary-general SABA, said, “it is of utmost importance for the industry to understand how to best take advantage of the dynamics offered in this changing environment modernise their media operations rapidly.
