Patrick Ngulube is a professor of Information Science and Interdisciplinary Research. Currently, Acting Director in the School of Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Studies under the College of Graduate Studies at the University of South Africa.
He is past Chairperson of Chairperson of the National Archives and Records Services of South Africa Advisory Board (2016-2019). Member of the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) in the Council on Higher Education in South Africa (2018-2020), Executive Board member of the Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (ESARBICA) (1999-2017).
Was an honorary professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, visiting professor at the National University of Science and Technology and Midlands State University in Zimbabwe and visiting professor at the Uganda Institute of Management.
His interest is in the preservation of access to information containers, management of indigenous knowledge and promoting field methods. Has extensive research supervision in these areas.
